The magazine of Chios. The third issue of KEOS embarks on a journey into the island’s maritime tradition, through images and stories. The sailors and the people who dedicated their lives to the sea shared with us stories of worth, progress, mourning, and separation. Captains, seamen, radio operators, and members of their families offer testimonies - lived experiences of the soul in an effort to help us understand this myth that never fades. After all, are there any coordinates for understanding the sea, or is it simply there to take us on journeys?

The rest of the issue covers a wide range of experiences from the northern to the southern part of the island. We will tour both the beautiful landscapes of Chios and the people who live on the island.

Keos is an organization founded by three young people from Chios. Our goal is to showcase the island of Chios through print. History, folklore, local culture, and people are at the heart of our inspiration.
