The electric fencing wire is suitable for small and large enclosures, ideal for domestic as well as wild animals. Its main material is plastic, ensuring high break resistance, and it contains metal wires. The cord is elastic, allowing it not to break easily if affected by animals.
It is resistant to ultraviolet radiation, making it suitable for long-term use. Its color provides good visibility. It is suitable for permanent and temporary fences. When choosing the cable for an electric fence, it is recommended to take the following parameters into account:
- Break strength: expressed in kg, it represents the maximum tensile force of the wire. For domestic animals, the maximum value of 100 kg is sufficient, while for wild animals it is recommended to choose a stronger cord.
- Electrical resistance: expressed in Ω/m. The higher the resistance, the greater the voltage loss in the cable. A high-resistance wire will have low voltage, resulting in improper operation.
For example, a 0.4 Ω/m cable can be used in a fence with a maximum length of 10,000 m, while a 7 Ω/m cable can only be used up to 500 m.
