The Extol Industrial 8794510 soldering iron is an electric pistol-grip model with a 60 W ceramic heating element and a microprocessor that controls the tip temperature. The temperature can be adjusted from 80 to 500 °C and is shown on the LCD along with the actual tip temperature and heating status. ESD protection reduces the risk of electrostatic discharges that can damage sensitive electronic components.
It is compatible with 900M tips and supports temperature calibration, setting a startup temperature, and locking the settings with a password. It is used for precision work on electronics, circuit board repairs, work on GSM and computer equipment, jewellery making and repair, cutting and joining plastic materials, and wood engraving. The temperature can be set in °C or °F.
