The Vanemar smoke detector detects the presence of smoke in the interior spaces of the vessel and alerts to a possible fire. It is intended for the engine room, cabins, and galley, and communicates wirelessly with the Vanemar Gateway unit.
Detection is done with photoelectric technology. Once smoke is detected, an audible alarm is immediately activated on the device and a notification is sent to the app via the Gateway. The alarm volume reaches approximately 120 dB at 1 meter and 85 dB at 3 meters. Installation is done with adhesive tape or with the included screws. The CR123A battery has a typical lifespan of up to 5 years, while at low battery level the device alerts via the app and with a periodic audible signal. It features a function test button, which is recommended to be used monthly. Up to 20 wireless devices can be connected to the Gateway, allowing the placement of multiple detectors in different areas.
