The AF CO2 Scrubber Medium helps prevent harmful fluctuations caused by low water pH. It closely complements filtration while allowing air flow, effectively absorbing carbon dioxide.

Regular use and replacement ensure stable pH levels in the aquarium. According to Aquaforest tests, the CO2 Scrubber Medium can increase pH by approximately 0.2 - 0.4 degrees and stabilize it within the range of 8.0 - 8.4.

It is recommended to use Aquaforest CO2 Scrubber Medium in combination with the Aquaforest CO2 Scrubber filter for the most effective removal of CO2 from the air introduced by the protein skimmer.

Important:

Water pH levels change on a daily cycle, so measurements should always be taken at the same time of day.

The color-changing factor gradually wears out, clearly indicating when the cartridge should be replaced. Replacement is recommended before the color changes completely. The cartridge is intended for single use only and cannot be regenerated or reused. The CO2-saturated state can be recognized by the color of the beads. When the cartridge turns purple, it means it has absorbed carbon dioxide.

When replacing the medium, it is recommended to wear gloves and perform the operation in a well-ventilated area.
