Tactical Squads are the mainstay of the Space Marine Legions, exceptionally flexible infantry units that can attack or defend at will, assault heavily fortified positions, seize and hold strategic objectives – or simply annihilate the enemy – in almost any terrain or situation.
Mark IV 'Maximus' armour is designed to offer a good balance of flexibility and durability. Its comparatively lightweight design, armoured external cabling, and redesigned helmet make it highly prized among the Astartes Legions.
Versatile Legionaries in Maximus Armour
This multipart plastic kit builds 20 Space Marine Legionaries for use as a Tactical Squad in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. They’re ideal for holding key objectives, neutralising enemy units with bolter fire, and reinforcing battle lines to turn the tide of the fight. Each model is armed with a bolter and bolt pistol, and can also be equipped with a variety of optional wargear, including grenades, holstered pistols, swords, and sheaths.
They can be built as one large unit, or two smaller squads of 10, each with its own optional Sergeant, Legionary with nuncio-vox, and Legionary with vexilla. They can also be used to represent Veteran Tactical Squads.
Unit Equipment
The kit includes parts to equip 2 legionaries with back-mounted vexillas, as well as 2 more with back-mounted nuncio-vox units. You’ll also find enough parts to build 2 Sergeants, each with a choice of bolt pistol or plasma pistol, and a power sword, power fist, or lightning claw. There are 20 helmeted heads, 12 bare heads, and interchangeable backs.
These miniatures have no specific Legion markings, so you can use them in any Astartes Legions force, whether you are loyal to the Emperor or have joined Horus in his rebellion.

The Astartes Legions transfer sheet contains 618 high-quality waterslide transfers. These include the insignia of the Sons of Horus, Iron Warriors, Salamanders, and Imperial Fists, as well as honour markings and numbers to decorate your miniatures.
