A unique, collectible commemorative edition, dedicated to one of the most important figures in Greek cinema and theater, Aliki Vougiouklaki.
The edition will be released in a limited number of copies.
In 2026, thirty years will have passed since the loss of Aliki Vougiouklaki, a personality who left an indelible mark on the history of Greek theater and cinema and continues to hold a special place in the collective memory of Greeks. On this significant anniversary, Ekdoseis AGYRA, one of the most historic Greek publishing houses with a history dating back to 1890, is preparing the release of a large album titled: "Aliki Through the Lens of Klessthenis."
This is a luxurious collectible edition of 456 color pages, large format 21 × 29 cm, designed with the highest publishing standards. Our goal is for it to become the most comprehensive and important photographic album ever published about Aliki Vougiouklaki.
The photographic material comes from the invaluable archive of Klessthenis, the person who was for many years her personal photographer, close collaborator, and friend. His lens captured in a unique way the most important moments of her public and private life, many of which are being presented for the first time gathered in an edition of this scope.
The editing and texts of the album are authored by the most prominent researcher of Greek cinema history, Makis
Delaportas, while the valuable contribution of Yannis Papamichail ensures the authenticity and historical accuracy of the publication.
