    I have had them for 2 months, they have been worn for walking, hiking/climbing, and daily use. Quite comfortable, true to size, and their Gore-Tex is excellent, nothing gets through. Very good shoes, especially for someone who likes this particular look, but for someone looking purely for a mountaineering/trail running shoe, I believe they are overpriced due to demand; most Salomon Gore-Tex shoes are at 80-120 and I wouldn't say there is a significant difference.

Construction Materials & Upper Design

The upper of the ASICS Superblast 2 Ekiden uses advanced Engineered Woven Mesh, providing multidirectional stretch that adapts to the foot’s natural movement. The fabric structure allows continuous airflow to help maintain a low temperature inside the shoe. The tongue design features Gusseted Tongue Wing Construction, with side wings connected to the inside of the shoe to stabilize the midfoot and prevent the tongue from shifting when running at high speeds.

Midsole Technology & Dual Shock Absorption Protection

The midsole combines two of ASICS’ top foams: the top layer is made of FF TURBO™ PLUS, an exceptionally lightweight and responsive material used in the brand’s racing models for maximum energy return, while the bottom layer features FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO foam for enhanced stability and shock absorption. This combination provides a high stack height without adding to the shoe’s overall weight.

AHARPLUS™ Outsole & Traction

The outsole incorporates the AHARPLUS™ (ASICS High Abrasion Rubber) compound, strategically placed in high-friction areas. This material offers increased resistance to abrasion on asphalt while maintaining a high level of grip on both dry and wet surfaces, ensuring a stable stride with every step.
