The piston has undergone heat treatment with a T-5 hardening and annealing cycle. The piston skirt is coated with a high-tech molybdenum disulfide coating for faster break-in and increased piston life. Cast from aluminum alloy (not forged) with 18% silicon content. OE casting piston replacement.
