The clutch cover gasket is made from AFM material, which is chemically foamed, synthetic nitrile rubber bonded to an aluminum core. The aluminum core gives the gasket strength for superior sealing and prevents leakage or slippage of the gasket in modern engines with limited sealing surfaces.

No sealants are required for installation. AFM does not stick to the engine, making replacement quick and easy without additional scraping. AFM features high temperature resistance over 250°F and has 85% recovery while maintaining strong torque retention. No sealants or silicone tape are needed, nor is retightening necessary.
