The material and construction of the seal vary depending on the application to ensure long-lasting durability and smooth operation under all conditions. Applications for 4-stroke engines use a double-sided Viton® rubber coating with stainless steel, ensuring precise sealing at high temperatures. Exhaust system seal kits are designed for extreme temperatures, using an outer steel layer that holds the inner Armor-400 layer (heat resistant up to 1,800ºF), ensuring maximum resistance against explosion or displacement caused by excessive tightening.
