The Bambu Lab AMS 2 Pro system feeds filament to a 3D printer and holds up to 4 spools at once. It automatically identifies Bambu Lab filaments via RFID and sends material information and suitable printing parameters to the software. By connecting up to 4 AMS 2 Pro units and 8 AMS HT units, it can manage up to 24 spools in total.
The active drying function dries up to 4 spools simultaneously at a maximum temperature of 65°C, with temperature and humidity monitoring and spool rotation. The electromagnetic air valve automatically removes moisture. The servo motor increases filament feeding speed by up to 60%, while the filament tubes can be accessed from the top without tools to remove material that is jammed or broken. The retraction ceramic components have a hardness of 1200 Vickers.
It is compatible with Bambu Lab 3D printers and can be integrated into an existing system using the appropriate upgrade kit. A separate Switching Adapter is required for active drying with the A1, X1, P1 and P2. The X2D and H2 Series can power every connected unit, even while drying; a separate power supply is required for each additional unit when drying simultaneously with multiple AMS 2 Pro units.
