This description refers to spare piston rings.

• Top compression rings: They have a cylindrical surface and assist in the heat transfer process between the piston and the cylinder wall. They control the gases in the combustion chamber, allowing the piston to transfer the energy of the expanding exhaust gases to the crankshaft.
• Second compression rings: They have a reverse torsional taper surface that supports side sealing, preventing oil from entering below and behind the ring, leading to better oil economy.
• Oil control rings: They are three-piece Flex Vent with a design that allows the rails to be manufactured with a small cross-section for better fit in the bore. They provide uniform pressure through four steel rails and two expanders, ensuring positive oil control.
• Made in the USA. Due to the thermal conductivity and design of KB pistons, special attention is required for the top ring end gap. Please read the instructions provided with the piston for correct ring installation.
