It consists of a solid chemical mixture that includes an oxidizing agent, a reducing agent, a burn rate regulator, and a binder. Upon electrical or thermal activation, a redox reaction occurs, producing a large amount of condensed fire suppression aerosol. The metal salt particles contained in the aerosol absorb a significant amount of heat at high temperatures, thus reducing the flame temperature and inhibiting the combustion reaction. This achieves rapid and effective fire suppression without the use of traditional fire extinguishing agents.
