The AXON NET Protector AIR is designed to protect devices connected to an Ethernet network 10/100/1000 Mb/s through a twisted pair that runs over an overhead line. It protects each wire of the four-pair cable and directs the electrical charge to the ground. For proper operation, it requires connection to a ground or protection conductor, not to a lightning rod.
