The Axon W0011 protector is designed for devices connected to a 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet network via a twisted-pair cable on an overhead line. It protects every conductor in a four-pair cable and diverts electrical current to ground. It must be connected to a ground or protective conductor, not to a lightning rod.

To protect an outdoor line, it can be combined with an AXON NET Protector or AXON MultiNET Protector inside the building.
