The Afriso APH electronic heating circulator moves water or water-glycol mixtures from the heat source to the radiators. It is installed between the heat source and the heating system, and consists of a single-phase permanent-magnet motor and a cast-iron housing with ports.
The motor’s rotating parts and bearings are cooled by the pumped fluid. Electronic control allows the hydraulic characteristics to be adjusted, and no additional external motor overload protection is required. It features nine operating curves: three proportional-pressure curves, three constant-pressure curves and three constant-speed curves. Proportional pressure is recommended for two-pipe radiator systems; constant pressure for underfloor heating and upgraded systems without a design plan; and constant speed for systems without control devices that require a steady flow, such as pumps for charging domestic hot water or buffer tanks.
