The TechniSat Smoke Sensor 1 is a standalone smoke detector with photoelectric (optical) detection, suitable for residences, bedrooms, corridors, and staircases. In case of smoke detection, it activates an audible alarm of approximately 85 dB and a flashing red LED.

The device is resistant to dust, insects, and humidity. It features a HUSH function for about 9 minutes. The 3 V CR123A battery and sensor have an indicative lifespan of up to 10 years.

Installation is done on a ceiling or wall using a base, plugs, and screws or with 3M tape. The TEST button allows for operation checking.
