The TechniSat Smoke Sensor 2 standalone smoke detector uses photoelectric detection and connects via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to the Tuya Smart and Smart Life apps. When it detects smoke, it activates an intermittent audible alarm of approximately 85 dB and flashes a red LED, while sending notifications to the app. The app lets you monitor the battery, device status, and event history.

The HUSH function silences the alarm for approximately 9 minutes, while the TEST button lets you test the detector. The app can also send notifications about a high ambient temperature of approximately 54 °C and a Wi-Fi connection error. The device can be installed on a ceiling or wall and cleaned without disassembly.
