The Tesla SecureQ DB5 doorbell transmits 2K video through a camera with a 170° viewing angle and supports two-way communication via a microphone and speaker. It detects people and packages, while adjustable detection zones allow notifications to be sent for relevant events. It can be controlled via the TESLA Smart, Smart Life and Tuya apps, and supports Alexa and Google Assistant.

Night mode uses 850 nm IR infrared illumination, with a range of up to approximately 5 m. The 5200 mAh Li-ion battery provides approximately 4–6 months of operation with around 10 activations per day. Wired DC 5 V / 1.5 A power via USB-C is also supported, and the enclosure has an IP65 protection rating.
