Ostentatic stainless steel contains 18–20% chromium and 8–10% nickel (AISI 304). For cutlery, ferritic steels without nickel are also used. The cutlery should be washed in a dishwasher with the recommended upright placement and without overcrowding.
Insufficient rinsing or drying may cause spots. Some dishwashers have drying programs such as 3D technology, Zeolith®, or Suszenie Extra. HoReCa collections are suitable for intensive use and repeated washing in professional dishwashers.
