Description & Specifications

3M Scotch insulating tape is self-amalgamating and made of silicone. It is mainly used to restore silicone insulation on cables and conductors. It can also be applied as an outer layer on medium-voltage cable terminations or to create oil barriers in transition joints. It is suitable for overhead installations and for installation in damp or heavily dusty areas.

The tape withstands temperatures up to 180 °C, as well as oil, ozone and atmospheric conditions, including pollutants. Its elasticity makes it easy to apply, and it is resistant to leakage currents, surface discharges and electrical arcs.
