Tytan black mastic is an elastoplastic bitumen-based rubber compound with synthetic fibres, designed for filling, smoothing and bonding applications on roofs. It is used to fill cracks, gaps, joints and seams in roof coverings, as well as to bond layers of roofing felt and adhere it to concrete.

It can be applied to dry or damp substrates and is suitable for use in contact with polystyrene, including bonding polystyrene boards to concrete and bituminous surfaces. Its bitumen content provides adhesion to concrete, plaster, wood, roofing felt, bituminous coatings, sheet metal and steel. It is also used to seal chimneys, gutters and window sills; to secure roof tiles and metal roof trims; and to fill grooves and joints when waterproofing walls.
