A few months before the Betrayal at Isstvan, the Emperor’s judgement had fallen upon the world of the Thousand Sons, Prospero, in the first recorded open conflict between Legions and the Emperor’s Talons. On a perilous path under the Emperor’s orders, Magnus and his sons practised forbidden psychic sorcery. A Censure Host made up of the Legio Custodes, the Silent Sisterhood, and the Space Wolves Legion pledged to bring total destruction to Prospero. They were not prepared for what Magnus would unleash in response.
Change Comes for Prospero
This add-on for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy details the involvement of the Legio Custodes in the Burning of Prospero, where they would fight not only the Legiones Astartes but also daemonic forces summoned from the depths of Tizca. In addition to detailed background information and a new unit for the Custodes, an army list is presented that allows players to use the Daemons of Tzeentch in the Horus Heresy for the first time.
This 48-page softback includes:
- Extensive Background: Detailed background on the Custodes’ role in the Burning of Prospero and on elements of the Legio Custodes that were incorporated into the Censure Host army.
- Additional Mission: A complete Historical Mission that allows players to recreate the Fall of Domus Tenebri, where the Daemons of Tzeentch meet the Emperor’s Custodes.
- Daemon of Tzeentch Army List: A complete army list for the Daemons of Tzeentch, including a new Psychic Discipline and rules allowing these units to be included in Thousand Sons armies.
- Unit Profiles: Additional rules for a new Adjurorum Sodality unit for the Legio Custodes and 2 new cohorts for the Solar Auxilia.
