The Qidi Filament Management System Q2 feeds a 3D printer with up to 4 different filaments through independent channels for multicolor or multi-material printing. It supports automatic switching to a backup spool and monitors filament runout, tangles, and jams. When expanded to up to 4 units, it can be used with up to 16 colors or materials.
It enables filament drying during printing at a maximum temperature of 65 °C, while monitoring temperature and humidity in real time. Airtight storage and the option to use desiccant help limit the effects of moisture. NFC identifies compatible QIDI filaments and adjusts their settings, while the system can use a separate support filament.
