L-CITRULLINE is produced by the American company Double Wood Supplements and supports the normal function of the immune and cardiovascular systems.

L-CITRULLINE is a non-essential (conditionally essential) amino acid that is naturally produced in the body and found in many foods. This chemical compound plays an important role in the body, but unlike other amino acids, it is not used to build proteins.

However, L-citrulline plays a very important role in the urea cycle, which helps the body eliminate harmful compounds. Specifically, the urea cycle removes excess ammonia from the body.

L-citrulline may also help with vasodilation, lowering blood pressure, and plays a crucial role in building muscle cells.

• Increased Vasodilation: Vasodilation refers to the widening of arteries and veins. It is associated with lower blood pressure and increased blood flow. When L-citrulline enters the body, part of it is converted into another amino acid, arginine. Arginine is then converted into a molecule called nitric oxide, which stimulates blood flow and the widening of blood vessels.
• Support for Muscle Mass Building: Although L-citrulline is not directly used to build proteins, it has been shown to increase protein synthesis by stimulating an important signaling pathway associated with the growth of muscle cells.
• Support for the Function of the Male Reproductive System: This amino acid may also improve erections in men with erectile dysfunction, possibly due to its ability to increase blood flow to the blood vessels.
