The PD-1738 uses the TMI VH65 movement, made in Japan. Despite the look of the dial, which may initially suggest a mechanical watch, the movement is quartz. The VH65 features an interesting function: the seconds hand advances in multiple smaller steps per second, providing smoother motion compared to most conventional quartz watches.
AR Crystal on 316L Case
The 42 mm case is made of 316L stainless steel and has a black finish that matches the dark elements of the dial. Above the dial there is a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, chosen for its high scratch resistance and improved visibility of the dial details.
With a thickness of approximately 16 mm, the PD-1738 has a strong presence on the wrist.
