The Artpol 42124 wood cutting disc has 40 teeth with YG8 tungsten carbide tips and GS10 geometry, with an alternate top bevel grind. It is suitable for cross-cutting softwood and hardwood, as well as other wood-based materials, fibreboard and plasterboard. The cutting edge has a hardness of 85 HRc (±2) and can be resharpened repeatedly.

The metal disc, made from heat-treated 50# carbon steel, is laser-cut for rigidity and reduced stress during high-load, high-temperature work. The higher tooth count helps produce smooth cut surfaces, especially in dry wood. For rip cuts, discs with fewer teeth are recommended to achieve a higher cutting speed.
