LECHUZA-PON planting substrate is made from natural mineral materials and designed for the LECHUZA self-watering system. Its blend of pumice, lava and zeolite helps with drainage and root aeration, while storing water and nutrients and releasing them gradually. It is suitable for indoor plants, edible plants, aromatic herbs and vegetables.

The substrate is enriched with slow-release fertiliser, providing nutrients for up to 6–8 months. It does not compact over time and contains no peat. After 6 months, liquid fertiliser can be added to the water reservoir.
