The Sinotimer AFFD2-63 C63 is a multifunctional protection device for 3-phase, 3P+N, 400 V AC electrical installations. It combines arc fault detection (AFDD), residual current protection, overload protection and short-circuit protection in a single device.

With a rated current of 63 A, a Type C characteristic curve and a residual current sensitivity of 30 mA, this device is designed for installation in electrical panels on a DIN rail. Arc fault detection helps reduce the risk of fires caused by poor connections, damaged conductors or other faults that can create dangerous electrical arcs.

The unit features a TEST button, a reset button and indicator lights for quickly identifying the device’s status. A common lever enables the poles to operate simultaneously.

• Run – green: Indicates normal operation/status of the electronic module.
• AF – red: Indicates that an arc fault has been detected.

The mechanical status indicators show the contact position: green = OFF and red = ON, as indicated on the product and in its images.

Connect the three-phase power supply to the upper terminals:

• L1 – L2 – L3 – N

Connect the load to the lower terminals:

• L1 – L2 – L3 – N

The neutral conductor must be connected to the terminal marked N, following the diagram printed on the device. The lower side is marked LOAD.

After installing and powering on the device, check that the residual current protection is working by pressing the orange TEST (T) button. The device should trip. If it does not trip during the test, the circuit must not be considered protected until the installation and device have been inspected by a qualified professional.

Installation must be carried out only by qualified personnel, with the power supply disconnected. Conductor cross-sections, upstream protection and the 63 A rated current must be selected in accordance with the electrical installation. Do not exceed the device’s rated capacity.
