Description & Specifications

The design of the Mathmos Lava Lamp Telstar was inspired by the space race, which became particularly intense in the 1960s. The Telstar’s distinctive “feet” base is made from aluminium using precision casting and features the embossed Mathmos logo, confirming the product’s authenticity.

Each Telstar Lava Lamp is manufactured to the strictest safety standards at the Mathmos factory in Great Britain. The glass bottle is filled by hand with Mathmos “lava”, a unique formula that creates mesmerising shapes in bright, clear colours.

The halogen bulbs used are specially designed for Mathmos Lava Lamps and direct light and heat towards the bottle.

Each Telstar Lava Lamp is inspected and tested to ensure it meets Mathmos specifications.

Features:

  • Weight: 2 kg
  • Size: 500 mm
  • Lighting: 240 V, max. 28 W mini GU10 spot halogen bulb

Warning:

  • The bulbs are for exclusive use with Mathmos Lava Lamps and are not suitable for household light fittings.
  • Lava Lamps are not toys. Keep them out of reach of children under 14, as they may break the bottle.
  • They must be plugged into a power socket to operate.
