The Mathmos Astro lava lamp was designed by Edward Craven Walker, founder of Mathmos and inventor of lava lamps. A classic pop-design icon, it has been made in Britain since 1963. It is crafted from high-quality, hand-polished aluminium, and its glass bottle is filled with Mathmos’ unique lava formula.

The halogen bulbs used direct light and heat towards the bottle. The product is compatible with energy class D and E bulbs and comes with an energy class E bulb (30W). Please note that these bulbs are for exclusive use with Mathmos LavaLamps and are not suitable for household lighting fixtures. Keep out of reach of children under 14 years of age.
