The design of the Mathmos Telstar Lava Lamp is inspired by the race to conquer space in the 1960s. The Telstar base features distinctive “legs” and is made from high-quality aluminium using precision casting. The Mathmos logo is embossed, attesting to the product’s authenticity.
Like the company’s other Lava Lamps, it is manufactured at the Mathmos factory in Great Britain. Each Telstar Lava Lamp is made to the strictest safety standards, and its exceptionally durable glass bottle is filled with Mathmos’ unique “lava” formula, which forms into fantastical, beautiful shapes in bright, clear colours.
The halogen bulbs used are specially designed for Mathmos Lava Lamps and direct the light and heat towards the bottle rather than the base.
Each Telstar Lava Lamp is inspected and tested to ensure it meets Mathmos specifications. The Telstar Lava Lamp is available in a variety of colour combinations.
