The straight push-fit connector with a 1/4″ tube connection and 3/8″ female thread connects 6 mm (1/4″) tubing to a fitting or supply with a 3/8″ male thread, in a straight line. It is used to transition from a narrow 1/4″ tube line to a 3/8″ threaded connection, as found on certain fittings and valves in water filtration and reverse osmosis systems.
