Teasome Red Water Oolong loose-leaf tea comes from the Bagua region of Taiwan. Its deep oxidation gives it a rich flavor that may call to mind black tea, while retaining the lightness and refined texture of oolong. The infusion has a honeyed sweetness with notes of cinnamon, raisin, and caramelized sugar. The resilient leaves allow for multiple infusions.

Preparation

  • Western style: 5 g of tea per 250 ml of water at 95°C. 1st infusion: 2 min; 2nd: 3 min; 3rd: 5 min.
  • Gongfu style: 6 g of tea per 100 ml of water at 95°C. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd infusions: 10 s; 4th: 15 s; increase the time slightly for each subsequent infusion.
