Description

The AQUAPHOR B520 PRO-AS is a 3-stage replacement filter that combines AQUALEN fibers, coconut shell activated carbon, and an anti-scale agent (Siliphos). It is designed for Aquaphor Viking PRO and Viking 300 stainless steel filter housings.

It is used as a pre-filter for reverse osmosis (RO) systems, washing machines and dishwashers, as well as freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It reliably removes rust, colloidal iron, sand, free chlorine, pesticides, and heavy metals such as mercury, lead, and copper. It also stabilizes the residual hardness of the water, protecting the RO membrane from scale buildup and chlorine damage.

How It Works – 3 Filtration Stages

  • Stage 1 – Pre-filtration (20 µm): The outer layer consists of coconut shell activated carbon and the patented AQUALEN fibrous adsorbent. It traps particles down to 20 µm.
  • Stage 2 – Carbon block (5 µm): The inner layer is a dense block of granular coconut shell activated carbon and AQUALEN ion-exchange microfibers. It traps particles down to 5 µm.
  • Stage 3 – Anti-scale: Polyphosphates (Siliphos) stabilize calcium carbonate, iron, sulfates, silicates, and phosphates.
