The X-BRAID ULTRA2 MAX WX8 is made from ultra-fine fibers, offering up to 40% greater strength than first-generation Dyneema/Spectra fibers. Thanks to YGK’s patented WX braiding method and HST treatment, the line has an exceptionally smooth surface, almost no stretch, and increased durability, even in the most demanding conditions.
It features a thin silicone coating that reduces friction, allowing for quiet operation and longer, more accurate casts. The advanced color-coding system makes it easy to accurately gauge distance, with yellow and black marks every 1 and 5 meters, as well as five alternating colors every 10 meters. It is one of the most reliable choices for demanding techniques, both from shore (e.g. spinning) and from a boat (e.g. jigging, Tai Rubber, and deep-drop fishing).
Overall, this line offers high knot and abrasion strength, reduced water resistance thanks to its tight construction, and exceptional sensitivity.
