The specialized rear cover adhesive gasket helps restore the smartphone’s proper seal and clean appearance after repair. This carefully cut, high-quality adhesive is precisely shaped to fit the housing of a specific model, making installation easier, ensuring accurate alignment, and eliminating the need for further trimming.
-
Precise fit: The adhesive is precisely cut so it does not extend beyond the edges of the housing and does not require trimming.
-
Strong adhesive bond: Provides a durable bond between the rear cover and the phone housing, helping reduce the ingress of dust and moisture into the device.
-
OEM standards: The quality matches that of seals used during original assembly.
-
Easy application: The gasket is supplied on a transfer film, making it easier to position accurately on the phone.
When to replace the gasket:
- When replacing the battery or repairing internal components that require removal of the rear cover.
- When replacing the rear cover.
- When the old gasket has lost its adhesive properties or has been damaged during disassembly.
Installation tip: Before applying the new gasket, carefully remove any residue from the old adhesive, then clean and degrease the edges of the housing and the contact surface of the rear cover to ensure maximum bond strength.
Important: Installing a new gasket helps restore the device’s proper seal, but the gasket itself does not guarantee restoration of the phone’s original water resistance or IP protection rating.
