Περιορίζει αποτελεσματικά τη βλάστηση και την ανάπτυξη ανεπιθύμητων ζιζανίων, εξασφαλίζοντας καθαρό υπόστρωμα και φροντίδα υψηλού επιπέδου. Χάρη στη μοναδική του σύνθεση, οι συμπιεσμένοι κόκκοι ανοίγουν με το πρώτο πότισμα και οι ίνες τους συνδέονται σχηματίζοντας μια προστατευτική στρώση. Η επιφάνειά του στεγνώνει γρήγορα, αποτρέποντας τη δημιουργία συνθηκών που ευνοούν τους νέους σπόρους. Διατίθεται σε πρακτικές συσκευασίες των 500 g, 1 kg και 2 kg για να καλύψει κάθε σας ανάγκη.

Natural Protection & Effective Weed Control

PotShield® offers an effective, eco-friendly solution for keeping the surface of the growing medium clean. Made from 100% plant-based compressed flax, it is easy to apply to the soil surface without mixing. With the first watering, the granules activate, expand and interlock their fibres, creating a compact protective layer. The material’s main advantage is that its surface dries quickly, creating an unfavourable environment for new weed seeds to germinate.

Simple & Precise Application Process

Applying PotShield® fits seamlessly into the planting or repotting process, and it can also be used in pots that are already planted. Always apply it to a clean growing medium, carefully removing any existing weeds beforehand. Spread an even, dry layer with an initial thickness of approximately 5 mm over the soil, then water as usual. The 5 mm measurement refers exclusively to the dry material before it expands, ensuring the ideal amount for properly covering your pot.

Smart Maintenance & Proper Watering

Maintaining the ground cover layer is simple and requires minimal care. After the initial application, continue watering according to your plant’s actual needs, avoiding unnecessary watering that keeps the surface constantly wet. If individual weeds appear during the year from seeds that were already deep in the substrate, carefully remove them so the cover remains undisturbed. Where the layer becomes thin, simply top up the material locally to maintain uninterrupted protection.

Choosing the Right Amount for Each Pot

The product is available in three different pack sizes—500 g, 1 kg and 2 kg—to suit both small and large applications. Choose the right pack size based on the total surface area of the soil you want to cover, rather than simply the number of plants, as a wide planter requires more material than a narrow one. Based on coverage with an initial dry layer thickness of 5 mm, you can easily choose the quantity that perfectly suits your garden or balcony.
