The Fujinon MTR-SX binoculars offer 10x magnification and 70 mm objective lenses for viewing in low-light conditions, as well as for night-time and astronomical observation. They feature BaK-4 Porro prisms and EBC multi-coated lenses, which help transmit light and deliver natural colour reproduction. Their construction is waterproof, hermetically sealed and nitrogen-filled to prevent the lenses from fogging.

Focusing is adjusted separately for each eye, while the 23 mm eye relief makes them comfortable to use with glasses. The binoculars operate in temperatures from -20 °C to +50 °C and can be submerged to a depth of 2 m for up to 5 minutes.
