Mattisson Berberine helps maintain normal glucose and lipid metabolism. It is an extract from the root of the Berberis aristata plant in a vegetarian capsule. The Berberis shrub grows wild in South America, Africa and Asia and has been used for centuries for medicinal purposes in Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine. Its active ingredient, berberine, belongs to the alkaloids. Berberine supports the normal regulation of metabolic processes, body weight, cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
