Butcher's broom, also known as ruscus or sweet broom, is a plant with remarkable medicinal properties. This evergreen shrub is widespread in Europe and North Africa. Butcher's broom is a perennial shrub that grows to around 60 cm tall. It has dense, dark green, needle-shaped leaves that resemble the branches of an evergreen shrub. In spring, small flowers appear, followed by bright red berries.
