What is cistus?

Cistus (Cistus incanus L.) is an evergreen shrub native to the Mediterranean region. Also known as “labdanum,” it has a long history of use in medicine and cosmetics. It grows in poor soils, which contributes to its high content of active compounds such as polyphenols, flavonoids and tannins.

Vitamin C: An essential health supplement

Cistus juice is enriched with citric acid, providing a high vitamin C content (150% of the daily value in 50 ml). Vitamin C is essential for the human body and is involved in many vital processes.

Ingredients:

• Cistus juice (Cistus incanus L.), citric acid providing Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) 120 mg – 150%* of the Nutrient Reference Value (NRV).

Nutritional values (per 100 ml): Energy: 50 kJ / 12 kcal

Contains no preservatives, thickeners or other additives.

Note: Not suitable for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy. This product should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Recommended use: Twice daily, 25 ml (approximately 5 teaspoons), half an hour before meals. May be diluted with water or fruit juice at a ratio of at least 1:1 or more.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children! Consume within 21 days of opening. Sediment may form; this does not affect the quality of the product.
