It seems to work for a long time with its battery without weakening. It effectively illuminates when you press it to see the time. Often manages to be automatically adjusted by the Frankfurt signal and takes the perfect time (you need to set it to the "time zone" at +1 hour, which is the difference with Germany time). By pressing the light, you simultaneously see the time AND the time the alarm will go off next to it.
