Mr. Bo, an economic migrant from China, has lived in Athens for twenty years. In the Metaxourgeio district, he runs a department store selling clothes and goods from China’s manufacturing industry. As a foreigner, he often faces suspicion and malicious remarks from his customers.
He is inseparably attached to his store, the “Little Dragon,” which is a protective cave for him, filled with memories of his distant homeland. Mr. Bo has his quirks. He walks on tiptoe, as if he doesn’t want to leave footprints on the earth, and speaks very little, as if he is afraid to open up and give himself away.
Within him, he carries dreams, passions, wounds, and the very essence of his homeland. Colors and aromas flood his mind and heart. These are what his “soul mate” senses when she comes to meet him one lonely Christmas, amid the bitter cold.
