The Homla Andreas cast iron frying pan distributes heat across its entire surface and retains it, helping to brown meat. The enamel interior coating protects the cast iron from rust. It has a long handle and a second, short handle for easier transport from the oven.

It can be used for meat, fish, vegetables, eggs, omelettes and thick pancakes, as well as dishes that start on the stovetop and finish in the oven, or for cakes and tarts. Before first use, wash and dry it thoroughly, then coat the inside with a little cooking oil; this process can be repeated occasionally. Once cooled, wash by hand with warm water and mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes. Wooden or silicone utensils and oven mitts are recommended, as the handles become hot.
