Berling METAL PLUS PRIMER is a solvent-based alkyd primer for metal surfaces, including car chassis. It provides anti-rust protection and resists moisture, impacts and changing weather conditions. It can be used as a primer or finish coat and provides a base for solvent- or water-based enamel paints, indoors and outdoors.
Apply with a brush, roller or spray gun to a dry, clean surface. On previously painted surfaces, remove old, peeling paint with sandpaper. Thin with white spirit by up to 15% by volume. Apply 2 coats to new surfaces and 2–3 coats to previously painted surfaces, allowing 16 hours between coats. On vertical or difficult-to-reach surfaces, apply additional thin coats, taking care to cover corners and openings thoroughly.
