Berling EXPERT PRIMER is a water-based primer with acrylic resins that provides adhesion on non-absorbent surfaces such as aluminium and glass, while penetrating absorbent substrates. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and blocks stains from smoke, nicotine, mould, coffee and marker ink, preventing them from reappearing through the topcoat. It also prevents salts from migrating to the finished surface and improves paint durability.
Dilute with water by up to 15% for non-absorbent surfaces and up to 20% for absorbent surfaces. Apply one or two coats with a brush, roller or spray gun, allowing 8 hours between coats. Apply the topcoat after 16 hours for water-based paints or 48 hours for solvent-based paints. Coverage is 12–15 m²/lt per coat, and touch-dry time is 2–4 hours.
