Berling EXPERT PRIMER is a water-based primer containing acrylic resins. It adheres to non-absorbent surfaces such as aluminium, glass, galvanised iron and tiles, and penetrates absorbent surfaces such as plaster, skim coat, concrete and gypsum. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it blocks stains from smoke, nicotine, mould, coffee and marker pen, while preventing salts from migrating to the final paint surface.
Apply to a dry, clean surface using a brush, roller or spray gun, in one or two coats depending on the substrate. Dilute with water by up to 15% for non-absorbent surfaces and up to 20% for absorbent surfaces. Allow 8 hours between coats. Apply the topcoat after 16 hours when using water-based paints or after 48 hours when using solvent-based paints. Clean tools with soap and water.
