Berling METAL PLUS PRIMER is an alkyd anti-rust primer for metal surfaces, including car chassis. It can be used indoors and outdoors and protects metal from rust, moisture, impact and changing weather conditions. It can be used as a primer or a topcoat and provides a base for solvent- or water-based enamel paints.
Apply with a brush, roller or spray gun. The surface must be dry and clean. On previously painted surfaces, remove old and flaking paint with sandpaper. Stir the product thoroughly and thin with white spirit by up to 15% by volume. Apply 2 coats to new surfaces and 2–3 coats to previously painted surfaces, allowing 16 hours between coats. For a final finish, apply 2 coats of enamel paint.
