Berling METAL PLUS PRIMER is an alkyd anti-rust primer for metal surfaces, including car chassis, for indoor and outdoor use. It protects metal from rust and resists moisture, impacts and changing weather conditions. It can be used as both a primer and a finish coat, and as a base for solvent- or water-based enamel paints.
Apply with a brush, roller or spray gun to a dry, clean surface. On old surfaces, remove old and peeling paint with sandpaper. Stir well and thin with white spirit by up to 15% by volume. Apply 2 coats to new surfaces and 2–3 coats to old surfaces, allowing 16 hours between coats. On vertical and difficult-to-reach surfaces, more thin coats are recommended, taking care to cover corners and holes thoroughly. Finish with 2 coats of Berling enamel paint.
